He is the World's Most Dangerous Man, and he has the credentials to back it up. He suffered two fractured vertebrae at the age of eighteen and was told to never engage in contact sports. However, four years later Shamrock was learning the rigors of the ring from veterans like Buzz Sawyer and former NWA Junior Heavyweight Champion Nelson Royal.

Shamrock went to Japan and gained fame amongst Mixed Martial Arts fans while competing in Pancrase. From there it was on to runs in Pride, the World Wrestling Federation and the Ultimate Fighting Championships.

He is arguably the most decorated hybrid wrestler/shootfighter in the history of competition. He is a former WWF Intercontinental and Tag Team Champion, a two time UFC Superfight Champion, the 1998 WWF King of the Ring, and was the first ever King Of Pancrase.

Perhaps the scariest thing about Shamrock is that he does not engage the same style in all of his matches. He can quickly switch from mat based submission tactics (including his painful ankle lock) to devastating punches to traditional professional wrestling maneuvers (including an impressive huracanrana for a heavyweight).

In recent years, Shamrock has concentrated on his hugely successful school, the Lion's Den, and competing in Mixed Martial Arts matches. He has now decided that the time is right for him to return to professional wrestling. Declining offers from several major organizations, Shamrock has determined that NWA: Total Nonstop Action is where the newest challenges lie for a man that thrives on being tested. Ken Shamrock has found his new peak to climb.
